Sugar Bowls

Installation at Slade MFA degree show 2011. The source of the forms, colour palette and texture are glazed sugar bowls, part of tea services designed by Poole Pottery during the mid- late 20th C. The formal aspect of the installation is animated by the individual nature of each shaped painting on canvas. These paintings embody their own experience in relation to one another. Two hemispherical cast objects rest on the floor and a ladder invites the sense of negotiating the space.
